My name is Pascal Glatzfelder, and I am a scientific illustrator.

I create customer-oriented, enlightening visualizations for knowledge transfer and for providing instructions in technical communication.

To capture the attention of your audience, I transform your facts into visually perceptible information carriers. Visuals that create an experience for the user. But the most important thing for me is to make your message work. As complex as it may be, it should help the user understand the content and act accordingly. Clear communication ensures the safe use of products and thus builds trust. The resulting identification with your message often proves customer-binding. A welcome image gain, by the way.

I work with authors who are usually related to research and development. Professionals who are active in a wide variety of fields and have developed findings. In order for the communication to fulfill its goal, it sometimes needs appropriate visuals.

When I studied design, my work experience was based on the medical device industry. I could gain image literacy and media skills that enable me to deliver instructions in an efficient and effective manner. Instructions, as we can find them in e.g. user manuals, which have to fulfill legal and normative requirements in the business world. I therefore know how to interpret standards and laws and can work according to them.

Quality and reliability are very important to me. In order to understand the subject, a thorough examination of the facts is required at the beginning of each assignment. I appreciate a structured approach, loyalty and a constructive friendly cooperation. All this helps to achieve a satisfactory result. After all, the result reflects the quality of the cooperation in a certain sense.

Before graduating, I had realized how rarely savvy imagery is used. I would like to use this potential to improve the communication of information between producers and users. The now established trend in usability and user experience confirms my finding. In addition, the dynamics of communication channels and media that have emerged are increasingly awakening the need for customer-oriented visual solutions. Providing clarity and gaining insight with exclusive visualizations is what I am committed to. How unique can your communication be? I look forward to getting to know you.

“Sometimes, you need images to tell the story effectively.”
